WHAT A YARN (3) was prominent at the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1600m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Must raise the bar but another big run will not surprise. REINSTATEMENT (14) finished third at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1600m at this track, finishing 2 lengths back in ninth. Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. STAGE THREE (15) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish 13th over 1400m at Te Rapa. Must be included among the main hopes. MI BELLA (7) ran below expectations last start, finishing sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths at Tauranga over 1200m. Well placed to atone.
