INTOXICATED (2) is a two-start maiden who looks close to a win after placing at both runs, the latest when second over 1600m at Matamata. Has upside and expected to go well. DENVER (1) was in the money last time at Pukekohe over 2100m when favourite after being in contention on the turn. Big run on the cards. NKOSI (18) returned from a spell a week-and-a-half ago when he was beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth over 1600m at Te Rapa. This looks a sterner test than last time but with added fitness he is one of the key runners. LORD GOLIATH (3) finished second last time over 1600m at Matamata, beaten 4 lengths. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task.
