CANADIAN RULER (1) was a gutsy winner last time over 1500m at Hawkesbury, scoring by half a length to make it two wins on the bounce. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Leading contender. MY LAST HOORAY (3) gets out over more ground today on the back of some solid form of late, the most recent effort a sixth over 1200m at Randwick. Another big run is likely. WARRIOR FOR PEACE (10) came from well back on the corner to score last time out over 1600m at Scone. One of the main contenders. BOYS NIGHT OUT (2) has been about the mark of late. Last time out was a long neck from the winner in second over 1600m at Eagle Farm. Should be poised just off the lead. Must be respected.
