MONTE KATE (6) comes into this in winning form after scoring over 1200m at Gosford but takes on tougher company here. Has further upside and expected to measure up again. PAJANTI (7) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 1200m at Randwick when coming back from a break. Sound record at this distance with two wins and three minor placings from seven runs and should prove tough to beat. ISLAND DEC (23) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she settled well back over 1100m at Canterbury, beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. TOTOKA (15) ran eighth at her latest appearance over 1100m at Scone, finishing 1.2 lengths from the winner. Big run is on the cards.
