SHADOW EXPRESS (7) raced on the pace last start before fading to finish ninth, beaten 11 lengths, over 1800m at Clare. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. MERCURY FLYER (13) last appeared seven-and-a-half weeks ago over 2050m at Strathalbyn when he finished tenth. This is his first run for the R Daniel & T Stanbury stable. Has found the right race and can take this out. SEE DE NIGHT (14) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1800m at Horsham, beaten 9 lengths into seventh after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the ability to find the winners' list. PUNCHIN (5) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Penola, finishing third and only half a length from the winner at the end of 1300m. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role.
