This week's headline plays are Extragalactic and My Gladiola at 0.5 units each in the Group 1 Moir Stakes at Sandown, with Idle Flyer our strongest Traders' Best Bet at 4 units at $2.40 in the Tramway Stakes at Randwick. Roselyn's Star is our each way play at $9 win and $2.30 place in the Concorde Stakes.
With the Valley out of play, the Moir Stakes shifts to Sandown and highlights this weekend's racing across the country. At Randwick, the Chelmsford and Tramway highlight a competitive ten-race card. Let's take a look at the feature races and all the best bets from the betr trading team.

Moir Stakes - Sandown - 1000m G1
Some rain around on the day makes the track and the pattern important. Natural Fling went like a jet in the Quezette running time, but I have to take it on here back in trip at weight for age. The wide draw isn't so much a concern from the chute, but she surely has to use some pennies early depending on where they get to and just too short for me. Giga Kick trialled sensational but I don't think 1000m is his go. Cavalry Girl jumps sharply in class and had every possible in her last few.
My Gladiola and Extragalactic are the clear two for me at the price. Extragalactic I'm convinced has a lot of talent and is trialling like a rocket. Can settle a little closer from the draw and has a wicked turn of foot. My Gladiola I would prefer on the dryer side but is similarly trialling well and maps to stalk from the draw. At double figures I think both are great bets and have them shorter.

Randwick
Furious Stakes - Randwick - 1200m G2 - 3YO Fillies
Second leg of the princess series for the fillies. Pembrey burnt the candle at both ends in the Silver Shadow and was dominant. Hard to knock but might have to sit outside the lead if Chilly Girl takes it up. Chilly Girl equally very good first up running down Blue Door. She was very strong late, so I think the 1200m holds no fears, she just has to transfer her form to Randwick. Chayan might prove to be the best horse here but gets a tough map conceding race fitness. Market watch. Bangkok Hottie very good from the back the other day. Write your own ticket the rest.
A race where the pattern looks important. I think the top two take up a lot of percentage so I'd wait to see how the track is playing, but could side with Chayan and Bangkok Hottie small.

Tramway Stakes - Randwick - 1400m G2
Idle Flyer very good in the Winx, picking up again late and super through the line. Second-up stats appeal and I think she lands on the back of the speed and looks the one. Private Eye goes forward from the draw and was good first up in Melbourne, just not getting any younger. Headley Grange from one a little sticky but trialling really well. Attica needs further. In the corner of Idle Flyer.
Concorde Stakes - Randwick - 1000m G2
Tempted best horse in the race but 1000m and some map queries make taking the shorts scary. Roselyn's Star has always been better suited at the short course in my opinion, and has trialled up super coming into this. Map advantage and I'm willing to find out if he's up to these at the $9. Headwall airborne at the trials but gives them a start. Quite keen Roselyn's Star here and think he has to start shorter.

Chelmsford Stakes - Randwick - 1600m G2
Tough race and not sure what to make of it with the fancies all coming through the Autumn Glow lead-up. Lindermann gets complete control after dropping off first up when riding the hot speed. Out to the mile an advantage but well enough found. Ceolwulf was good hitting the line first up. Usually a deeper prep animal but looks to have returned well. Fangirl I actually thought went well first up chasing the speed, which is not her go. Out to the mile on a good track are big ticks and she sports the SP profile from the lead-up. She's the one I would lean towards but the comments from the trainer during the week do little to boost the confidence. Green Spaces only got warm late and surely needs further than this but looks to have returned super. Staying out of this one.
Traders' Best Bets
Randwick Race 3 - Scilatto
Thought her return was good off the long break at Warwick Farm, charging through the line. Gets the positive jockey change here and a good draw.
Randwick Race 5 - Decorum and Bartolf
Decorum back gelded this prep and whilst 1200m might be a little on the sharp side, he could have this field covered. Bartolf comes on from the first-up run where they went slow and draws inside. Can improve.

Sandown Race 4 - Savoyard
Attacked the line first up over the unsuitable trip. Gets the weight swing on the favourite and drawn kind.
Sandown Race 5 - Blind Raise
Would have him closer to favourite off how Closer to Free went the other day. Cruised in his trial and run of the race for B Shinn.
