JUST A TIPPLE (1) was below his best last time, finishing eighth and beaten 8 lengths over 1400m at New Plymouth Raceway. Nicely placed to bounce back. CHARMER (8) impressed last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished 4 lengths from the winner in second over 1300m at Cambridge Synthetic. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. SABIK (3) finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1300m at Ellerslie, beaten half a length. Hard to beat in this suitable race. THE EXPONENT (4) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 1.75 lengths over 1200m at Matamata. Fitter for that last hitout and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
