FREDDIE TIME (7) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back in the G3 Manawatu Classic at Trentham with a win as public elect over 1400m at Riverton a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds a tougher race but another big run will not surprise. FUNFETTI (9) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Riccarton Park, beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
