SPANDEEDO (1) was unwanted in betting on debut last start but ran a strong race, finishing second and beaten 1.3 lengths over 1100m at Waverley. Likely improver who is expected to be in the finish. BRUTIFUL LASS (7) turned in a good effort on debut three months ago when 2 lengths away in second at Tauherenikau over 1000m. Has not been to the races since that outing. Will be better for that race experience and should feature in the finish. PERFECT HABIT (2) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 1200m at Ellerslie a month ago. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. SIERRA LEONE (6) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff she finished tenth over 1200m in the LR Karaka Million at Ellerslie. Should present well following a recent trial win. Solid top-three hope.
