Saturday AFL Tips – Carlton and Swans Lead $6.40 Multi

Our best bet across Saturday's AFL action is the Carlton / Sydney / El Achkar 1+ Goals / Jones 1+ Goals Multi at $6.40, spanning four games including Carlton hosting the winless Suns at Marvel Stadium and the Swans taking on a heavily depleted Giants side in the Battle of the Bridge.

Can the Gold Coast Suns break an eight-game losing streak when they head to Marvel Stadium to face the Blues? And who will come out on top in the Battle of the Bridge when the Swans take on the Giants?

Carlton Blues vs Gold Coast Suns

Leg 1 - Carlton

How could you possibly back the Suns? They have continued to disappoint week after week, losing their last eight games, and have also failed to cover in their last nine.

Another factor is how they've performed as underdogs this entire season. Surprisingly, the Suns have been underdogs in just six games in 2026, but they've failed to cover the line in all six as outsiders.

The Blues have certainly slowed down the last three weeks, but have played well in their last two games at Marvel Stadium under Josh Fraser and should be too good in this against a dysfunctional Gold Coast.

Hawthorn Hawks vs Essendon Bombers

Leg 2 - Hussien El Achkar 1+ Goals

The first-year small forward for the Bombers was really impressive in their win last week, and El Achkar has genuine forward craft.

El Achkar has only played six games of football, but he's managed to kick at least one goal in five of them, which is quite impressive considering how poor Essendon has been and the difficulty of his role.

As a junior, El Achkar generally produced low disposal numbers but was a proven goal-kicker, and that has translated to both VFL and AFL level. The small forward has kicked 18 goals from eight VFL games this season.

GWS Giants vs Sydney Swans

Leg 3 - Sydney

The absence of Toby Greene leaves a huge hole for the Giants, who are already missing the likes of Briggs, Buckley, Daniels, Gothard, Hogan and Tom Green.

The Swans have had trouble this year against teams that limit points from turnover, with Adelaide and Fremantle being two of the better teams in the competition at doing that. The Giants on the other hand are not one of those teams.

Sydney have won six of their last seven games against GWS, and will find themselves back on the winner's list on Saturday.

Western Bulldogs vs Richmond Tigers

Leg 4 - Arthur Jones 1+ Goals

Arthur Jones is receiving attention from other clubs due to a solid season by the out-of-contract small forward.

Jones has kicked 16 goals from 13 games this season, and his recent form is strong. The Bulldog has kicked at least one goal in his last eight games, kicking a goal in 91% of his games this season.

Against a team like Richmond, you'd expect all the Bulldogs forwards to get plenty of opportunities.
