Was a winner at the only previous third-up run. Finds the right race to make it two on the trot. SHOHEI (2) raced on the speed and kept going to score by 2.5 lengths when resuming last time out over 2200m in the G2 Kyoto Shimbun Hai. Steps up a level but he is good enough to take this out. CROIX DU NORD (13) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 2000m in the G1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) at Nakayama. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. MASQUERADE BALL (17) opened this campaign last start with a third, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 2000m at Nakayama. Best figures measure up favourably.
