Finished fourth when fresh from a spell two starts back at Hanshin then improved and scored as public elect over 1400m at Kyoto three weeks ago, getting home by half a length after being in contention on the corner. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. SATOMINO KIRARI (8) returned from a spell four weeks ago when he was beaten 2 lengths into seventh over 1400m at this track. Takeshi Yokoyama is a key engagement. Fitter so expect a better run this time. ALTOUM (7) caught the eye last start over 1600m at Kyoto, coming from the tail and running on strongly to score by 0.8 lengths. Is going well this campaign, recording a win and a minor placing from three starts. Don't underestimate.
