MANDARIN BOLERO (5) finished seventh two runs back at Nakayama Dirt then improved last time out to score by a neck over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. OGINO KANAME (7) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on 11/01/2025, finishing ninth and beaten 7 lengths over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Makes plenty of appeal.
