PRECIOUS SPARTAN (8) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 4.5 lengths over 1600m at this track. Shaping up nicely and he is likely to feature in the finish again. FLAMBOROUGH HEAD (5) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 4 lengths over 1400m at Redcar. The engagement of David Allan is a positive move. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. TIMELESS SPIRIT (1) is a four-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at Nottingham over 1680m, beaten 6 lengths. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat. BETA READER (2) was beaten 6 lengths into sixth in a 1600m contest at Kempton Park All Weather last time out. Better than recent efforts suggest.
