THE COFFEE POD (4) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just two times from 22 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1000m at Epsom Downs, beaten 5.5 lengths. P J McDonald gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Has the class to figure prominently. ABATE (3) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fourth over 1200m at Thirsk after being in the firing line on the turn. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. HIGH OPINION (2) finished 9 lengths behind the winner in 11th place when resuming over 1000m last start at Beverley. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Likely improver.
