MARINER (1) finished sixth two runs back at Wolverhampton then improved last time out to score by one length after being in the firing line on the corner over 1600m at Doncaster. Finds a suitable race and can make it back-to-back wins. BAY DREAM BELIEVER (8) is fitter for two runs back from a spell, progressing nicely last time to finish third, beaten 1.5 lengths, at Beverley over 2000m. Good record at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from nine starts and is one of the prime contenders. STEPS IN TIME (4) resumes from a spell of five months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1600m at Newcastle All Weather. Nicely placed and can figure in the finish.
