PRIDE OF ASPEN (4) finished 8 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1600m at Wanganui three weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Among the chances. KICK ON (1) lines up on the back of a 6 length seventh over 2200m at Arawa Park. One of the main contenders. RIDE THE TIDE (8) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Trentham, beaten 8 lengths into fifth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
