AIR PLAY (9) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Goulburn with a win over 900m at Goulburn eight weeks ago, getting home by half a length after he produced a huge finish. Likely to be there at the finish again. ROTHGATE (4) settled well back then found the line nicely to finish sixth, beaten 3 lengths, over this journey at Parkes last time out. Will drift back but is going to be hard to hold out. KERMITISAPET (11) accounted for a maiden field over 1000m at Taree last start, finishing 1.3 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Ben Looker was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Harder here but should be involved in the finish. BYRON'S FARM (5) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1100m at Wellington, beaten 4.5 lengths into eighth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
