PREFERENTIAL (11) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 2000m at Caulfield. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. MAGARTEN (1) was thereabouts two starts ago before a disappointing 12th most recently over 1800m at Flemington. Nicely placed and capable of far better. MUSGRAVE (4) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1800m at Sandown-Hillside. Leading player again. TIKEMYSON (3) made late ground and finished second last time over 2000m at Casterton, beaten one length. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
