SILENT CALL (2) is a three-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Doomben. Fitter and capable of taking this out. CASTERLY ROCK (3) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 1640m at Doomben. Expected to be there at the business end. DARK STRATUM (6) met with solid support last start over 1400m at Taree when fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths. Deserves another chance. CLASSIC SHIRAZ (8) ran a better race when second-up last start, finishing 3.5 lengths away in fourth over 1400m at Ballina. No surprise to see her in the frame.
