Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. IRISH THUNDER (10) comes here off a last-start fourth, beaten 12 lengths, over 1000m at Ballina. Well placed and should be tough to beat. BRAVELY (1) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when eighth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 1200m at Doomben. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. NEIL (6) is back from a spell of six-and-a-half months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 1006m at Grafton. Placed in a recent trial. One of the genuine hopes in the race.
