Top chance again. HARBOUR GOLD (1) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1000m at Muswellbrook, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable assignment and can take this out. BRILLIANT MELODY (5) started at $5 last time but could only manage sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at Barcaldine over 1200m. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. One of the main contenders. HIGHGROUND (6) finished a 5.5 lengths sixth first up two runs back on a dirt track at this track over 1000m. Followed that up with an unplaced effort on turf at Barcaldine over 1200m. Solid top-three prospects.
