MAYNE (10) was well held in The Tapp-Craig won by Anode over 1400m at Rosehill at his last appearance six-and-a-half months ago. Should be poised just off the lead. Will prove tough to beat. NOBLE DECREE (12) raced in the leading division and kept going to score by 0.7 lengths when resuming last time out over 1200m at this track. Tricky draw to overcome but does have good gate speed. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. IMPENDOR (6) hit the frame two starts ago at Doomben but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 2.5 lengths over 1200m at Gold Coast. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field. RASHFORD (7) is back from a spell of five months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 1800m at Sunshine Coast. Definite top-three chance.
