NAMI'S JEWEL (7) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a head away in second over 1000m at Goulburn after being in contention all the way. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is capable of running a bold race. INOUE (2) resumes from a spell of five-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish ninth at the latest run over 1250m at Canterbury. Ran fifth in a recent trial at Warwick Farm. Rates highly and is a chance to break through. ZO FRILLING (9) was given a short break after hitting the frame over 1006m at Port Macquarie. Kept ticking over with a subsequent trial at Warwick Farm. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
