MYSTIC HIGH (11) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when ninth, beaten 7 lengths, over 2025m at Cranbourne. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out. AVENUES (3) has been in the placings at both runs this prep, most recently a closing second over 2050m at Moe. Fitter and should be in the finish again. PRINCE OF BYRON (2) has recently been thereabouts without winning, the latest effort a fifth over 2240m at this track. Among the better chances. CHRISTMAS (4) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only a head over 2240m at this track. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
