DENSETSU (1) could only manage seventh two runs back then improved last start when he did his best work late but found one better over 1100m at Wodonga, beaten only a neck. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. PER IVY (3) has not appeared since she finished 12th over 1100m at Traralgon on November 2. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. RAGING MONKEY (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1000m at Seymour, beaten 6 lengths into ninth after being prominent at the bend. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. SON OF ZORRO (12) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 4.5 lengths away in seventh over 1000m at Wangaratta. Better than recent efforts suggest.
