PIERONIMO (3) closed off strongly last start to get up for third, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 1400m at Scone when resuming after a spell. Will be tough to stop again. SWEET KICK (4) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at Mudgee, beaten 7 lengths. Will enjoy a drop in class so she will prove hard to beat. COLONEL LIGHT (1) wasn't far away last time at big odds, finishing second over 1400m at Scone. Expected to be competitive. SHOEBILL (12) is a three-year-old filly who is having her first run for the Sharon Jeffries yard. Hasn't raced since finishing in the placings at Canberra five months ago. Placed in a recent trial and looks nicely placed. Not to be underestimated.
