GREEN SPRING (5) wound up strongly last time out to finish a nose adrift in second over 1100m at Ipswich on debut. Can go on with it. FRENCH EMPIRE (2) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of four months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1550m at Murwillumbah. Ran seventh in a recent trial at Doomben. Has ability and is a solid chance. CAMBRIDGE BAY (4) returned last time with a solid third at Ipswich over 1200m. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of a big run. NORTHERN EAGLE (9) is yet to break through in six runs but has been thereabouts. Placed two back then was 3 lengths away in fourth over 1200m at Ipswich last time. Can sneak into the finish.
