MORTHAN EFFICIENT (3) broke his maiden last start over 1500m at Ballarat Synthetic, scoring by 0.8 lengths. Ryan Hurdle was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher but he is capable of another big run. SQUANDER (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1800m at Horsham, beaten 10 lengths into eighth. Has her share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
