ALPINE TROUT (1) is a 16-start maiden finding it tough to win but has been in the placings at his last two runs, finishing second most recently over 2100m at Hobart. The winkers have been removed for this and expected to be in the finish. LORD HEAR US (3) has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten a nose into second over 1600m at Hobart when he was handy all the way. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. GEEGEE AUNTY JESS (11) gave away a big start at the top of the straight last start and finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1150m at this track. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. MANHATTAN NIGHTS (4) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 8 lengths away in ninth over 1600m at Hobart. Well placed to bounce back.
