GAWNSKI (3) used the inside draw to advantage last start, sitting on the pace and going on to score over 1800m at Murray Bridge last time out. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. CLAIM THE CROWN (2) has been freshened since finishing seventh over 2000m at Flemington. Fitness level should be good following a subsequent Pakenham trial. Serious threat. SUN GIFT (12) finished fourth over 1800m at Sandown-Hillside when resuming last start, beaten only 1.5 lengths. Fitter and sure to run well. BLUSHING TYCOON (7) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 1600m at Ballarat. Can figure in the finish.
