MONTE MAXIMUS (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 1350m at Ipswich, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to get the prize. INDUBITABLY (4) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1100m at Ipswich last start, a less impressive effort than her first-up fourth at Warwick the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. HE'S A COPY BOY (13) finished 2.7 lengths away from the winner last time at Grafton on a soft track and gets some weight relief here. Expected to be competitive. TALANA (2) has fair form without striking for a few starts. Last start was third by 2 lengths at Glen Innes. Racing well without winning and must be included in calculations.
