GIZA (9) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1007m at Sapphire Coast, scoring by a long neck. Shaping up nicely and she can go on with it. ISAGURA (10) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 1000m at Goulburn. Well placed and expected to go well. ASTROGAZER (3) returns from a substantial spell and tackles a synthetic track for the first time. Opened last prep with a second at Moruya over 1310m. Should be forward enough to run very well. CHRISTMAS STAR (5) was in the firing line on the bend but turned in a mediocre run last time out over 1410m at Sapphire Coast after a nice win the start prior. Has the ability to find the winners' list.
