SAMURAI WARRIOR (7) was impressive last time over 1890m at Toowoomba, scoring by 3.5 lengths. Will appreciate the drop in grade. Leading contender. MAD ANA (11) came from well back on the bend to score last time out over 2210m at Ipswich. Expected to be there at the business end. KENSHIN MARU (5) was in contention on the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 2150m at Ipswich after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. GLENRAY'S MATE (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at Gold Coast Poly, beaten 4.5 lengths into eighth. Well placed to make amends.
