SPENCER (6) hit the ground running from out wide last start and crossed down to lead throughout (29.57) at Sandown in a Grade 5 over 515m. Makes plenty of appeal on the back of that last-start win. HIGHWAY HOOLIGAN (2) has been out of the placings at his last couple but on the winners' heels when placing three back (24.21) in a Grade 5 H at Bendigo. Rates a winning chance on best. ASTON REEVES (8) is right in the mix.
