This week's headline play is Ranarsson at 5 units at $2 in Flemington Race 8. In the Melbourne Cup we're with Trustyourinstinct at 1.4 units at $8, Shockletz at 1 unit at $11, Enfjaar at 0.5 units at $23 and Zahrann at 0.4 units at $26.
It's the first Tuesday of November, which only means one thing as the race that stops the nation, the Melbourne Cup, will be run and won for another year. A very competitive ten races complement the great race at Flemington, whilst Sydney hosts a similarly spirited betting card. Let's take a look at the feature races and find some winners across the day.

Flemington
Melbourne Cup - Flemington - 3200m G1
A competitive Cup in 2026 with it sitting $8 the field at the time of writing which is all you can really ask for. The Geelong Cup winner Point of Law an easing favourite and one I'm happy to let go at the price. He won with authority at Geelong but with this only his sixth start, I'm wary of it coming all too early for him. I think his parade will be crucial. Trustyourinstinct looks a very good hope off its European form where it has mixed it with the likes of Scandinavia in the Curragh Cup. Elite staying form and this horse actually looks as though he has a turn of foot. Drawn poorly but finds McDonald who just needs some luck in the early stages. Shockletz I give a mighty hope too. Perfectly prepared for this out of the good camp and weighted to win. I struggle to see her not in the finish and predicting her to relish the two mile. Hopewell Rock I think a bit short now coming off a second in the Ebor at his last start. Usually a good form reference but looks a grinding type to my eye. So You Are and Middle Earth I could not get near the market and taking them both on. Enfjaar I think can improve off a good run in the Caulfield Cup. Was right there when the speed went on and just hit the lead a little early. Will be a winner for me. Zahrann is another who appeals with the SP through the CC and gets the addition of the blinkers. Another at a price that I want to have on side.
Shockletz @ $11.00 (1 Unit)
Trustyourinstinct @ $8.00 (1.4 Units)
Enfjaar @ $23.00 (0.5 Units)
Zahrann @ $26.00 (0.4 Units)

Flemington Race 2 - Ichnusa
Loved its run first up hitting the line hard over 1700m. A track like Flemington will suit down to the ground and will run the 2000m out strongly.
Flemington Race 3 - Waiheke Rose
Think she gets all favours here on the map and can run them into the ground over the 1800m. Hard to catch fourth up and fit.
Waiheke Rose @ $4.80 (1.3 Units)
Flemington Race 8 - Ranarsson
Unbeaten in two runs and putting up some proper numbers to go with it. Progressive animal who can take the next step here.
Randwick Race 5 - Churchill's Choice
One of mine who keeps sucking me in hitting the line. Very good sectionally last start, just needs her mind on the job and can put these away.
Churchill's Choice @ $6.50 (1 Unit)
Running Total: +12 Units (Out 224.75 / In 236.75)
