HORONUKU (2) was in the firing line on the bend and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1400m at Waverley after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. TEARS OF VICTORY (8) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 6 lengths back in eighth over 1300m at Te Rapa. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. LADY MOANA (5) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 6 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1400m at Pukekohe. This is a nice drop in grade so she is a major player. FREE BEE (13) has not won for a long while. Last raced on April 12 when beaten 6 lengths into eighth at Trentham over 1400m. In the right race and should be in the mix.
