Could only manage to finish ninth at the latest run over 1200m at Chelmsford. Ready to find winning form. BALLARAT BERTIE (8) started at $4 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths at Southwell All Weather over 1600m. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. ELECTRIC BASS (7) wasn't far off maiden success before a three months break, finishing the prep with a minor placing at Southwell All Weather. First try at this longer trip. Solid top-three hope.
