Backed that up with a sound second in a hurdle (4200m) at Ludlow 35 days ago, beaten a head. Hard to knock the recent efforts. MONTECAM (5) wasn't far from the placegetters when resuming from a layoff last start, beaten 2.25 lengths into fourth in a hurdle (3300m) at Newbury. Expecting plenty of improvement.
