PROCUL BOY (6) improved sharply on his sixth two starts back at Trentham with success over 1200m at Hawera four weeks ago, getting home by one length. Taking on a better line-up this time but he can go back-to-back. MAGAWA (4) was a determined winner last time at this track, scoring by half a length over this distance. Down in the weights this time so he is expected to measure up again. STEAL MY THUNDER (5) returns from a layoff of nine weeks. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1200m at Otaki. One to consider.
