ANGE PARADIS (3) was far from disgraced when third last start over 1400m at Kawasaki, beaten 2.25 lengths. That followed a win at Kawasaki the start prior. Taking on a better line-up this time but she has the ability to bounce back. VOGELWAND (10) started at $3.60 last time on the back of a win at this track two starts ago but was below her best, finishing seventh over 1200m at Funabashi. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is good enough to play a major role. STAR QUICK (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at Kawasaki, beaten 7 lengths into sixth. Meeting a deeper field this time but she deserves another chance. GOOFED LYPHARD (6) is returning from a spell of ten weeks. Finished 16th at Kyoto over 1400m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Satoshi Kokubo.
