QUID (1) did well to finish second two back at this track. Stayed on the flat last start and could only manage fourth at Wanganui over 2040m, finishing 8 lengths behind the winner. Major player this time. OUR DAYMO (6) last raced when he found a couple better in a flat race over 2040m at Wanganui two weeks ago. Takes on the jumps for the first time. Finds a nice race is sure to be thereabouts. MEANDEEL (5) finished fifth last time out on the flat over 2200m at Te Aroha. Has been over the jumps once before and clocked-in seventh at this track back on June 7. One of the genuine hopes in the race. DOROTHY'S DAUGHTER (8) was out of the money last time out when she finished eighth on her jumps debut (2800m) at Te Rapa. Makes plenty of appeal this time.
