HICKORY (7) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a nose over 1400m at Ascot. Has a solid second-up record and is all set to make it two-for-two this prep. GOLDEN OCEAN (6) is an imported four-year-old having his first run in this area for the David Menuisier barn. Has not raced since she finished off last campaign with a win over 1600m at Navan eight months ago. Not seen at the trials but she should feature in the finish. SURREY SHADOW (9) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when in the firing line on the turn before winding up in fourth over 1600m at Doncaster, beaten 1.5 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. SIERRA BLANCA (5) is back from a break of seven months. Closed last campaign with a narrow defeat over 1600m at Haydock Park. Has to be respected.
