Steps up in journey today. Blinkers added so the stable might have him peaking today. FLEETWOOD (2) ran below expectations last time at Ellerslie, finishing fifth and beaten 3 lengths starting at $7.60. Has the class to take this out. CHATAYA (9) is yet to break through in eight runs but has been thereabouts. Last start was 7 lengths away in fifth over 1600m at New Plymouth Raceway. Finds a nice race and can measure up. ROB'S MISTAKE (11) raced below her best last time when sixth over 1400m at Te Rapa, beaten 6 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
