Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up. MAIORI (2) started at $6.33 last time on the back of a win at this track two starts ago but was below his best, finishing sixth over 2300m at this track. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. MYSTIC ALCHEMY (6) turned in a fine effort to win by 4.5 lengths at this course and distance last start in a far better run. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is right in contention. BLANC MENTEUR (5) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 9 lengths over 1900m at this track. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
