It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. VARIETY ISLAND (9) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Catterick, finishing second and only a neck from the winner at the end of 1400m after being prominent at the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. HURSTWOOD (7) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1200m at Thirsk when returning from a spell. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the main contenders. ISHE WORTH AGAMBLE (6) doesn't win very often but ran a strong race last time out over 1200m at Hamilton Park, finishing third and beaten 2.25 lengths. Can figure prominently.
