Better suited at this shorter trip so should prove tough to beat. TOTAL TRIOMPHE (7) started at $8.45 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 15 lengths at La Plata over 1600m. Meeting a tougher field but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. EXCELSUM TER (9) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 10 lengths when fifth in a 1600m contest at La Plata six weeks ago. Meets a stronger field but she is worth another chance. VICTORIA BAYERN (5) built on her impressive record on dirt two back, winning over 1200m at this track. Backed that up with a minor placing on turf over 1200m at Palermo Turf six-and-a-half weeks ago. William Pereyra who has scored on her three times retains the mount. Worth including in calculations.
