SOEMIA (6) is back from a spell of nine months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 1600m at San Isidro. Comes to hand quickly so a bold showing is expected. MAGA ZULU (3) saluted at the first run back from a spell last start over 1200m at this track, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Has been given a let-up of six weeks since that outing. Open to plenty of improvement and another big run will not surprise. CHICKS (4) did a great job to score by 6 lengths over today's course and distance last start in a much improved run. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot repeat the dose. NAKAYAMA (2) was far from disgraced when second last start over 1600m at this track. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Well placed and can make amends.
