CHARLIE MAX (4) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 2400m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Steps up a level but he is worth serious consideration. NAYLEAF (3) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 2400m at this track. Worth noting Simone Vitabile goes aboard. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. MEZZOMBRA (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1800m at Florence, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Well placed to bounce back.
