Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. IRBIS (10) continued the good recent form when he finished just a long neck away in second last time out over 1500m at Marseille Vivaux. Backmarker who gets home hard. Best form puts him right in this. ASHIKTASH (7) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1600m at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 0.8 lengths. Has a good record at this course and distance, including two wins. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. TOPY'SIM (12) finished second last time over 1600m at Fontainebleau when resuming from a spell, beaten 0.8 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing.
